Holy Transfiguration Monastery
Located in Brookline, MA, the Holy Transfiguration Monastery was founded in the winter of 1960. The monks live and work under the direction of their Abbot, Fr Isaac, Archimandrite. The community lives in a three-storey mansion built in 1881 and their handiwork includes making incense, icons, and sweetbread (available from their store).
Holy Nativity Convent
Holy Nativity Convent was founded in 1968 as a community of nuns following the traditional Orthodox monastic life. Under Abbess Seraphima, the nuns follow a daily routine of work, church services, and private prayer. The nuns support themselves by making candles, sewing church goods and other handicrafts (available from their store).
